Midwest Sprint Touring Series

MSTS360 season set to start April 14

The fourth season of Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series action is set for a green flag.

The first of 25 events on the calendar is April 14 when MSTS360 and the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprint Series presented by Malvern Bank team up for the North vs. South Shootout at Park Jefferson Speedway.

The Siouxland speed plant hosted three events in 2017 with the two series teaming up for action, with a different winner taking the trophy at each event. Thomas Kennedy went to Park Jefferson’s victory lane in April. Cody Ledger scored a last lap pass for the victory in July while Gregg Bakker took top honors at September’s Iron Cup. For each driver, it was his first career MSTS360 sanctioned victory at Park Jefferson. Jack Dover has the most career MSTS360 wins at the speedway with four.

MSTS360 and Nebraska 360s will compete at the track three nights in April. The next event is the $10,000 to win South Dakota Sprint Car Nationals on April 27-28. Both series return on May 26 for the Memorial Day Clash paying $2,000 to the top driver. The finale for the North vs. South Shootout is scheduled for August 25.

Those events will all be critically important for the MSTS360 teams as they compete for a points title and their slice of the 2018 points fund. MSTS360 recently announced the points fund for the season has increased from 2017, now totally $25,000.

Ryan Bickett enters the 2018 season as the reigning MSTS360 champion while Ryan Roberts will attempt to defend his 2017 crown from the Nebraska 360s.

For April 14, hot laps are scheduled for 6:20 p.m. with racing to follow. Ticket prices are as follows: Adults: $18
Seniors 70+: $10
Children 6-16: $5
Children 5 & Under: Free
Pit Pass: $30
