Midwest Sprint Touring Series
Details set for 9th annual Sioux Center event
The Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series will make its way to Sioux Center, Iowa, on Thursday, July 12.
The ninth annual Mouw Motor Company Sprint Car Showdown will pay $2,000 to the MSTS winner.
This is the third consecutive year for the event to fly under the Property Solutions of American MSTS 360s banner. The Late Model Street Stock Touring Series and USRA stocks cars are also on the program for the evening.
Terry McCarl is the most recent winner of the event. The Altoona, Iowa, driver took the #24 to victory lane in 2017, leading the majority of the 25-lap feature. His son, Carson McCarl, took his first career win in 360 sprint competition at the 2016 edition of the event. Other drivers to win on the Sioux County half mile include Brian Brown (twice), Jon Again, Gregg Bakker, Lou Kennedy Jr., and Danny Lasoski.
The event starts at 7 p.m. with the grandstands opening one hour prior. Adult tickets are $17, kids ages 9-12 are $5 and eight and younger are free.
