MSTS 360, Tri-State Late Models announce schedule updates
The Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Tri-State Late Model Series have announced schedule updates.
The June 8 event originally scheduled to be a MSTS 360 show at Rapid Speedway will now be a Tri-State Late Model Series show. In exchange, MSTS 360 sprints are now part of the season-ending weekend as part of the Rapid Nationals on Friday, September 14.
MSTS 360 makes its first appearance of 2018 at the Rock Rapid, Iowa, speedplant on May 4 before returning on May 18. The third annual Randy Droescher Memorial at the Lyon County Fair Races hosts MSTS 360s on July 17 before the MSTS 360 season championship on September 14.
Ten different drivers have taken a checkered flag at Rapid Speedway in 12 MSTS 360 sanctioned events. California’s Tim Kaeding is the only repeat winner with three victories, while Lee Grosz, Eric Lutz, Ryan Bickett, Robby Wolfgang, Dusty Ballenger, Gregg Bakker and Jody Rosenboom complete the list of winners.
The 2018 MSTS 360 point fund sits at $25,000 that will be divided with the series' top competitors. Ryan Bickett enters the season looking to defend his 2017 crown.
Meanwhile, Tri-State Late Models invade Rapid Speedway on June 8, June 15, July 17 (with MSTS) and September 15.
