Fan & Team updates for June 6 at I-90 Speedway
Week three of the 2020 season at I-90 Speedway promises to be a good one. The Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series is back on Saturday night to headline the event. The Cressman Sanitation IMCA Sprint Cars, T&R Contracting Late Model Street Stocks, Great Western Bank B-Modifieds and LawnSnow.com Hobby Stocks will also compete.
Here are some things to know about this Saturday.
Tickets:
Adults: $17; Students (ages 13-18): $10; 12 and younger: Free; Pit pass: $30
Tickets are available online until 2 p.m. Saturday. After that, tickets are available at the grandstands starting at 5 p.m. The pit gate opens at 4 p.m. Hot laps start at 6:30 with racing to follow.
What about the Midwest Power Series?
Saturday is no longer on the MPS schedule. MPS addressed this on Facebook this week citing several reasons including the opening of Knoxville and some teams do not have motors. GRP Motorsports is adding bonus money into the MSTS purse for the night. MPS representatives will be on hand to discuss the safety equipment and staff at the track, as several of the MPS teams have asked for additional details. We remain confident in our safety team and its equipment, and feel MPS will too after visiting this Saturday.
Can I watch online?
No. Unfortunately, AdvantageRacing.TV will not be able to attend I-90 Speedway this Saturday. We’ve been very impressed with their product and look forward to having them back at the track. AdvantageRacing.TV is obligated to Off Road Speedway in Nebraska on Saturdays and will be attending the season opener there this week. AdvantageRacing.TV is looking to add staff and equipment to allow them to resume coverage at I-90 Speedway soon.
Should I bring chairs?
You can. We are still waiting for our final shipment of bleacher material to finish the project. If you see our bleachers somewhere between here and Florida, send them our way. But in all seriousness, we have a good mix of bleacher and grass/chair seating – either way is your decision.
Do I need to wear a mask?
This is your personal choice.
I’d really like to eat or drink before coming to the track. Any ideas?
Yes, The Goat Bar & Grill in Hartford has great specials on food and drinks on race days, including $2 Busch Lights. Just save room for our famous chicken strips and cheese balls.
