MSTS 360 opens 2024 season in Norfolk this Saturday
The 2024 season of the Gunderson Racing Inc. Midwest 360 Sprint Touring Series powered by Cressman Sanitation gets underway this Saturday night. The event at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk, Nebraska, is co-sanctioned with the Nebraska-based Malvern Bank 360 Sprint Car Series.
This is event number 163 for MSTS 360, dating back to the opening season of 2015. MSTS first visited Off Road Speedway in 2016 and has conducted a dozen events there.
Of the 12 previous events at Off Road Speedway, Jack Dover has had the most success with five of his series best 37 wins at the Nebraska bull ring. Jody Rosenboom is the only other driver to score multiple wins at Off Road with three total victories. Eric Lutz took home the trophy in 2019, Brant O’Banion took the win in his former hometown in 2020 before Jason Martin got the win in 2021. MSTS visited the speed plant twice in 2023 and produced two first-time winners - Tim Estenson and Joey Danley.
In addition to the sprint car special, IMCA Late Models, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Hobby Stocks and Pro Stock 4 classes will be in competition.
Off Road Speedway is located at 2904 Old Hwy 8, Norfolk, Nebraska. The speedway is part of a much larger Off Road Ranch complex that includes camping, kart racing and off road racing.
